Molecular medicine in synergy with single-molecule technology

Molecular biology of the cell is of central importance in modern medical and pharmaceutical research as well as in clinical analysis. New drugs and new medical therapies can be created when increasingly detailed information is obtained about a cell's genetic material as well as the proteins that reside in the cell.
